Written by Asa Sargeant | 02/12/20 16:06

Our latest monthly newsletter arrived last week in its newly succinct format; for those of you who may have missed it, here is a brief recap.

Our Blogs

Your November ICEbreaker e-shot contained links to theICEway’s varied blog sections. ICE recently published articles on data in travel and a CDC announcement regarding the cruise industry. It also offered a preview of some of the forthcoming events in the travel industry, all of which are well worth a look.

CRIBB Cyber Security covered data governance frameworks plus the cyber security implications of potentially the busiest black Friday sales event on record.

eTestware tackled the different types of software testing, including performance, automation and blockchain. There really has been something for everyone this autumn!

Travel Forward Virtual 2020

The regular ICEbreaker exclusive feature centred on November’s World Travel Market. The focus was specifically on the ‘Cruise – Technology can save it!’ session, moderated by our Co-Founder and CEO, Ian Richardson.

Richardson is no stranger to presenting at events in cruise and travel, and here he brought his inimitable style to a discussion with representatives from Kognitiv Spark and Canopy Tools Group.

These companies have combined to create a bio-secure framework for cruise aimed at tackling the key recommendations from the Healthy Sail Panel Report:

  • Testing / Screening
  • Sanitisation & Ventilation
  • Destination & Excursion planning
  • Mitigating risks for crew members
  • Response, contingency planning & execution

The framework is designed to effectively manage and monitor the health of crew and passengers during the cruise journey as a whole (port-ship-stop-over-port).

View the November ICEbreaker here, where you will be able to watch a full-length video of the panel.
