Last year’s Seatrade event saw the inaugural appearance of the Interactive Tech Zone from theICEway. We’re delighted to say that it will be back again in 2023, along with some other exciting features. We’ll be at Seatrade Cruise Global 2023 and we look forward to seeing you there!
Seatrade Cruise Global 2022 gave attendees a new, cutting-edge experience to enjoy in the shape of the tech zone. David Tibbles from theICEway was on hand to guide visitors around the many different IT gadgets on show there. These included VR headsets from Kilo, who were also present to provide some handy training. Tibbles felt that things went even better than expected:
“When we were putting everything together in the months and weeks before, we knew there were certain aspects that could really resonate. The prototyping conversations, for example, were always in with a shout of being well received. Whenever you are doing something brand new, there is always an element of anxiety involved. Will it be a success? Will enough people engage with what’s on show? Thankfully, any concerns I may have had were swiftly put to one side. Everybody I spoke with seemed to really enjoy themselves.”
The Interactive Tech Zone at STC Global 2023 will once again be fully interactive. We have selected exhibitors offering products including robots and VR. Our friends at Lufthansa Industry solutions will be demonstrating some Augmented Reality (AR) tech. Attendees will be able to experience how AR can be used to assist in helping crew solve complex issues. The good people from SourceToad will also be there to provide a live guest app. This will enable users to control cabin technology plus enjoy ‘look and book’ dining experiences and more. A team from theICEway will be giving a demo of our tzChromar technology, which allows onboard IT crews to change Time Zones on all devices in a much quicker and easier way. Other highlights to watch out for include EXP360’s VR tech and LG Electronics’ CLOi AI robot – don’t miss out!
F&B@Sea, the world’s first dedicated cruise F&B experience, is set to be another fantastic feature at STC Global 2023. Those in attendance will be able to enjoy an immersive journey of the senses, testing and tasting some amazing F&B products, services and technologies. The two-day curated content programme will also provide insights on cruise F&B sustainability, the supply chain and more.
