We are now well into July and this week we thought we would take a look back at what was another eventful quarter for the blog section of theICEway’s ICE Technology Services. From the last in our series of ICE remote routines, via an update on our work to support key sectors such as cruise and healthcare, through to a round-up of our consultancy services, it has certainly been interesting – at least, we hope you will agree…
With remote working in full swing, we decided to focus mainly upon the often-ingenious remote routines adopted by our team members. We heard how Owen was taking two mini breaks each day, how James constructed his very own gym in the back garden to stay in shape, and how both Freddy and Laura had turned to cooking as a way of breaking up the day. I also got involved, revealing that a game of Solitaire and a walk around my flat were keeping me sane – although that is debatable!
There was also time for what proved to be our most popular piece of the year so far, a reflective look back at the birth of ICE and ultimately theICEway from our co-founder Conor Byrne, before we rounded the month off with a special ‘shout out’ to our friends from Seatrade Cruise Global and the latest, beautifully revamped, edition of our ICEbreaker newsletter.

May saw the final remote routine piece published on Val and Tomomi, with ginger and lemon beverages and riverside walks very much the standout details. As we pushed ahead, we decided to reflect upon who we are as ICE Technology Services and what we do here on theICEway, with outsourcing IT becoming ever more prevalent in these most trying of times.
We also looked at the services we can and do provide to clients in the cruise industry and in healthcare, two sectors that have been close to our hearts for many years. Indeed, for the healthcare industry we are tremendously proud to have been involved with a project designed to carry out research on the effects of COVID-19 upon pregnant women and their babies, working alongside the fantastic team from UCL – read more.
Last month, we began by looking at another sector for which we have provided IT support and consultancy services – retail. As the weeks went by, we took a deeper dive into those consultancy services to try to illustrate the sheer breadth and depth of our offering, an endeavour that unfurled over a 3-week, 3-part series that covered everything from ALM to training – read more here.
Over the coming weeks we will do our utmost to keep you informed and entertained, but if there are any specific items of interest that you would like us to cover, we would welcome your suggestions in the comments section below…
