And so it begins... TheICEway are off to the CLIA Technology Initiative Executive Summit in Miami, where Don Johnson once combined neon pink t-shirts with silver blazers and Will Smith recorded one of his most popular songs.
This intrepid explorer has never been, so there is a tangible sense of excitement and anticipation as we sit here on the runway at London Gatwick airport, gazing out of a rain-spattered window and imagining the sunshine-baked paradise that awaits.
TheICEway, an eco-system of companies that combine to deliver a complete, end-to-end digital solution for the cruise industry, was founded by Ian Richardson – chairman of the CLIA Executive Partner Technology Initiative no less – and Conor Byrne, and has been helping cruise lines to achieve success for more than 20 years.
We are delighted to be joining this flagship event and can’t wait to engage with the best of the best in cruise over the coming days – oh, and the weather won’t hurt much either...!

It's now midday and this writer finds himself 38,000 feet in the air and battling with intermittent Wi-Fi. It seems almost surreal that the International Cruise Summit in Madrid took place almost 2 weeks ago, but here we are yet again out and about to attend another of the premier events in the cruise calendar.
As we gaze at the clouds below us, our attention is brought to an altogether different type of cloud, however, one that is similarly untouchable and yet which touches our everyday lives nonetheless... Yes, you guessed it - the cloud!
We'll be mingling with the brightest and best from CLIA and the cruise industry this week, ready to discuss TheICEway ecosystem and all that it can do for all those joining us at the event who are interested in Cloud Services and a lot more besides.
