Seatrade Cruise Global is the leading yearly B2B event for the global cruise industry, with last year’s event the largest in its illustrious 35-year history. More than 13,000 cruise professionals from 140 countries were joined by 300 international journalists, all eager to hear the latest updates from industry influencers during the four-day conference.
Three of those days played host to an exhibition boasting over 700 exhibitors, representing sectors including Information Technology in cruise, Safety & Security, Ship Equipment & Shipbuilding and many more.
This year’s event is due to take place between April 20th and April 23rd at the Miami Beach Convention Centre, and the team from theICEway will be there. As well as being an invaluable source of cruise industry news, Seatrade Cruise Global also represents a fantastic opportunity to network with the brightest and best and to take part in keynote speeches, tech talks and interactive panels and sessions.
This year’s line-up is all set to eclipse last year’s, with new learning tracks on design & ship interiors, entertainment, expedition cruising, global ports & destinations, IT, and perhaps the hottest topic in the cruise industry right now – sustainability.
Guests will learn about further innovations in entertainment, they will be given the opportunity to explore the current demand for cruise journeys in greater depth, to discover the new destinations that will excite passengers, to investigate the challenges cruise lines face as a result of the continually evolving IT landscape, and they will hear about efforts to maintain natural resources whilst simultaneously sustaining huge growth.
Speaking of growth, 2019 was also a huge one for theICEway in that regard, with 2020 shaping up to be a pivotal year for us. Between now and April 20th we will be working on several important projects that will see a wealth of change, and we would urge you to watch this space for updates – there is even a rumour that we may be doing a little more at Seatrade Cruise Global this year than in previous years…
With your appetite now suitably ‘whetted’ – we hope, at least – we’ll close with a final word on this fantastic and unmissable date in the cruise calendar; anybody who is anybody in cruise will be in attendance, and if you consider yourself to be an expert in the industry you will be there too.
