Seatrade Europe 2019

by Asa Sargeant | September 8, 2019 | General News & Events | 0 Comments

The Seatrade Europe Cruise and River Cruise Convention 2019 is due to take place from September 11th to 13th in Hamburg, Germany.

Having been successfully connecting the cruise community for 18 years, Seatrade Europe is still very much the meeting place for the European cruise market. Year after year, thousands of international visitors from every industry sector are in attendance to network with existing and potential connections and to gain insightful updates from recognised industry leaders.

Newcomer's Boulevard on the show floor is where you can take the opportunity to meet with new suppliers and the conference programme is dedicated towards generating and delivering inspiring and innovative discussions on a wide range of key topics – in short, if you want to keep your finger on the pulse within the cruise industry, Seatrade Europe is very much the place to be.

As specialists in providing Managed Services and IT consultancy for the cruise industry, it should come as no surprise to hear that ICE Technology Services will be in attendance at the convention. Not only that but we are also Principle sponsors of the 2019 Seatrade Cruise Awards, taking place on September 11th.

We have over 20 years of experience in our field and a great many consultants and engineers who fuse their own expertise with the most advanced technology the market has to offer in order to ensure that our clients achieve their targets and objectives.

In recent years we have been providing our expertise to more and more members of the cruise industry, and this is due in part to one of the newest solutions we have introduced under ICE Technology Services’ fully-accredited and UK Government-backed Cyber Security arm, CRIBB Cyber Security.

‘CRIBB Maritime Cyber Assurance’, or CMCA for short, provides an affordable security solution that protects against operational disruption and potential damages to reputation.

With this unique solution, the challenge of engaging crew to deliver shareholder reassurance has never been easier. Cyber-attacks on Ports and Ships are on the increase and protecting your data plus establishing proof that you have taken appropriate steps towards that are of paramount importance.
The CMCA solution from ICE Technology Services and CRIBB Cyber Security delivers on all counts, offering clients:

- Full briefing and consultation throughout the project
- Complete assistance with Security Policies
- Analysis and evaluation of current organisation of information
- Assessment of current compliance level
- Evaluation of current level of Operations Security
- Management assessment and guidance
- Guidance with Subject Access
- Review of current policies, procedures and processes by an experienced, certified GDPR practitioner
- Assistance with Human Resources
- Access Control check
- Supplier Relationships evaluation and assessment
- Physical & Environment checks
- Assistance with Business Continuity Management
- Validation of equipment, technical controls and network/cloud
- Firewalls and Malware protection
- Help with managing Security Incidents
- Guidance on Cryptography
- Advice on Asset Management

Once you have implemented CRIBB Maritime Cyber Assurance, you will have defined your policy for data protection and minimised the data held; you’ll have communicated the changes to all employees and defined their roles with the relevant training. You will have identified that the data you process is done so on a lawful basis, provided the required privacy information to the data subject and obtained consent where required. You will also have robust procedures in place for data subject access requests.

The CMCA solution from ICE Technology Services and CRIBB Cyber Security is an affordable alternative to ISO27001 that is recognised by the IASME Consortium. In today’s World of ever-growing dependence upon IT and an abundance of Cyber-Attacks, not to mention the fact that there is no easy alternative nor any standards for GDPR in the US right now, can you afford to not look into CRIBB Maritime Cyber Assurance?

Contact us today for more information on this exciting solution, and if you are going to Seatrade Europe 2019, be sure to look out for Conor, Ian and Owen from our UK-based team…

See you in Hamburg!
