Innovation Hub

Welcome to our news and blog section. Here you will find the latest updates from theICEway and our IT specialists at ICE. We are frequently invited to attend and speak at industry events, so if you don’t want to miss out on those, this is the page for you.

With more than 20 years’ worth of experience in cruise, travel and healthcare, you will also be able to read more about these key sectors. Of course, at the heart of it all is Information Technology – which some of you may know as ‘IT’ – and we’ll certainly include news on that.

Our ecosystem of companies was founded upon 3 guiding principles, or values: People, integrity and innovation. We always aim to infuse our every effort with one or all of these. The first, ‘people’, includes not only our people, but also those we work alongside each day. If you are reading this, then you can rest assured that it also includes you.

As such, we welcome your comments and feedback so do join in the conversation. You can also follow us on social media using the links below.

Have your say with theICEway (new for 2022)

by Asa Sargeant | October 27, 2022 | General News & Events, Cruise & Maritime | 0 Comments

2022 has been a busy year for us. Not only did we attend another Seatrade Cruise Global event, but our ICE brand also turned 15. In the spirit of innovation, we have also created some new features. The first of those is ‘Have your say with theICEway’, and today’s blog looks more closely at that.

All Organisations And Sectors Face Issues

Our teams are proud to work alongside some fantastic organisations in amazing industries. First and foremost, our people specialise in IT. IT support, IT services, IT solutions – you name it, we can provide it. Next, we have spent many years honing our craft within a wide range of sectors. Some sectors require more adaptation than others, with each one bearing issues both shared and unique. We are always engaging in dialogue – communication is key – and we often find ourselves covering familiar ground. “What can we do to solve problem X?”, is a recurring question. A lot of the time we find the answer. A lot of the time, we and the various organisations we work alongside are facing long-standing issues. Issues that have yet to be solved after decades of attempts. Though our inner and outer circles are wide, we are always keen to hear from those outside of them.

A Forum For Discussion

We have therefore decided to create ‘Have your say…’, a platform through which we hope to drive more conversations. Each quarter we will aim to pose a new question; the first relates to an industry of particular importance to everybody at theICEway: What are the biggest issues in cruise right now?

Use the link below to have your say on this vital topic, which may inform a panel at Seatrade Cruise Global 2023. We have offered 4 potential answer topics / frameworks:

- Environmental requirements
- Port infrastructure development
- Gaining new and / or younger guests
- Demands for greater bandwidth

We have also invited you to tell us if you think something else is more important and crucially, why. Your thoughts and opinions are invaluable to this discussion, so the more we collect the better.

We are also posing this question on social media via Twitter and LinkedIn polls. The first polls were completed earlier in the week, but we will publish them again in November – keep an eye out for them!

Have your say with theICEway on our first question related to current issues in cruise.

Future ‘Have Your Say…’ Topics

To reiterate, we are an IT company with a passion for people and experience in many different sectors. We know cruise especially well, hence it being the first subject in this new feature. Innovation is also important to us, as is integrity – we’ll keep the new features coming and you can be sure we will use the data gathered in exactly the right way.

If you have any suggestions for future subjects or questions, then we would love to hear them.
